The Importance of Financial Support Mechanisms in the Development of Small Business and Private Entrepreneurship

This article analyzes the importance of financial support mechanisms in the development of small business and private entrepreneurship. Small enterprises are considered as an important source of employment, local production, innovation, competition and household income growth. However, limited access to finance remains one of the main barriers to their stable development. The article examines bank loans, microfinance, credit guarantees, leasing, subsidies, venture financing, business grants and financial literacy programs as instruments that help entrepreneurs overcome capital shortages and expand economic activity. It is argued that financial support becomes effective only when it is combined with transparent selection criteria, business training, risk assessment, institutional trust and post-financing monitoring.
